Fold-It By Thinkfun

Fold-It by Thinkfun is that new exciting, crazy yet fun, game that has entered our household and we have been having a great time with it. The game is pretty straightforward, you have this well made recipe cloth and you will need to fold it in such a way that it only shows what is on the Order Card.

The game is started by each player having their Recipe Cloth and 3 Star Tokens in front of them. There will also be a stack of recipe cards and Fold-It Token in the middle of the table. You will be using one less Fold-It Token than there will be the amount of players so that the last person to Fold-It will not receive a token and will also need to discard one of their Star Tokens. If you have taken a Fold-It Token, but you have made the wrong order you will also lose a Star Token. Once you lose all three of your Star-Tokens you are out of the game with the last player with a token being the winner.

Your goal is to cook recipes the fastest, based on the Order Cards. When the Order Card is revealed, everyone starts cooking at the same time. Each player takes their individual Recipe Cloth and folds in it such a way that it only shows the items displayed on the Card. Be the first player left with Star Tokens and – YOU WIN!

The game speed is fun and frantic with each player trying to fold their cloth correctly for the token. We played a few rounds with our 7 year old and everyone loved it and interestingly enough she won many of the rounds. It not only has everyone thinking about “how” they can make these folds, but the motor skills to actually make the folds the fastest come into play in this game as well. There are both basic and advanced order cards to give every type of game a different challenge. The quality of the cloth is exactly what you would expect from Thinkfun, top grade material with interesting drawings and good coloring. Another fun game to bring out on game night or whenever you want to play a quick game or two. The games last around 20 minutes or less and can feature 2-4 players.
