James Van Der Beek takes some time out of his voice work as Boris Hauntley to give a good description of his character. Vampirina will premiere on both Disney Channel and Disney Junior on October 1st at 11 A.M.
@vanderjames explains his #Vampirina character, Boris is the kind of dad you roll your eyes at, but still love because he’s such a good guy. The series premieres on October 1 at 11:00 a.m. on #DisneyChannel and #DisneyJunior.
Based on James’ explanation we are sure to expect a lot of fun stories where being the good guy will get Boris into trouble or make us laugh, either one being a win. We all probably know a dad like this so he will be super relatable even if he comes from Transylvania. Lauren Graham will be playing Oxana Hauntley, Boris’ wife and we think they will make a great cartoon couple. Boris and Oxana will make the move from Transylvania to Pennsylvania to open a bed and breakfast for visiting monsters.
Rounding out the cast will be Isabella Crovetti as “Vee” (Vampirina), Patti LuPone as Nanpire, Brian Stokes Mitchell as Grandpop, Wanda Sykes as Gregoria, Jordan Alexa Davis as Poppy, ViviAnn Yee as Bridget, Dee Bradley Baker as Mr. Gore and Wolfie, Mitchell Whitfield as Demi, Banji Risley as Edgar, Cree Summer as Edna and Ian James Corlett as Chef Remy Bones. We are looking forward to seeing Chef Remy Bones, the character looks like he will be very interesting.
