Elena of Avalor: Realm of Jaquins is coming to the Disney Channel on August 12th, 2017. The animated series special has Elena of Avalor travelling to the realm of the jaquins, but by doing so this puts Avalor in some danger by releasing a mythical forest sprite by mistake. There is also a rumor we may get to see Skylar’s father in this special episode and it is confirmed in the trailer.
There is not a lot of information on this special so the trailer gives us most of our information. It has been a year since Elena has become crown princess and Elena is going to the home of the jaquins, which looks to be stunning. Elena will find some new allies and get some new powers as well while travelling in the Realm of the Jaquins and encountering new enemies.
THis special event will give us a bunch of background into the creatures of Migs, Luna and Skylar and help us understand where they came from. Skylar was chosen to guard Avalor and his father permitted him to undergo guardian training. We first see the jaquins in the Sofia the First and Elena of Avalor crossover special as they help Sofia bring Princess Elena back to defeat Shuriki.
There is a chapter book of Elena of Avalor Realms of the Jacquins that you can find published by Disney Book Group if you want a head start on the story or just something to read after you watch the episode which will premiere on Saturday, August 12th at 9am on the Disney Channel. This episode is not the end of the season as we still have “The Gecko’s Tale” and “Party of a Lifetime” to finish up the season.
