DuckTales premiere is only a few days away now and Disney XD has released some more pictures from the first one-hour television movie “Woo-oo!” which uses the familiar DuckTales call to bring back the show. The first adventure of the new series will have Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey, and Louie coming the home of their great-uncle Scrooge McDuck to joining Webby, Launchpad McQuack and a few others in learning family secrets during their adventure to the Lost City of Atlantis.

The pictures below do show us  the characters, but the adventure itself seems to be a bit of a secret yet. What I find super interesting is while Scrooge does have a gold phone, it is a flip phone, kind of showing both sides of his coin, frugal and lavish at the same time. In this Duckverse are smart phones not invented yet or is Scrooge just holding off like our grandparents do?

Until this first episode (movie) airs, there is still a lot of talk if this new version can be a hit, if it will pay homage to the old version, but as things move along we continue to be more confident that DuckTales will be something fun to watch. What that means overall has yet to be seen, but we have seen a lot of successful cartoons come out lately. With the announcement of Duckwing Duck coming to the show Disney is making an effort to bring back some beloved characters of current adults, but how that translates to this generation is the question. DuckTales and Darkwing Duck were some of my favorite shows, so hopefully we get a full relaunch of Darkwing Duck at some point if DuckTales does well.

DUCKTALES  “Woo-oo!” – Donald Duck reluctantly takes his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie to the home of their reclusive great-uncle Scrooge McDuck. Enthralled by their once legendary great-uncle and the wonder of McDuck Manor, the triplets and their newfound fierce friend Webby learn of long-kept family secrets and unleash totems from Scrooge’s epic past, sending the family on an adventure of a lifetime to the Lost City of Atlantis. “DuckTales” premieres in a one-hour television movie to be presented for 24 consecutive hours, SATURDAY, AUGUST 12 (beginning at midnight EDT/PDT), on Disney XD. (Disney XD)

Thank goodness that Disney XD will be running DuckTales “Woo-oo!” for 24 hours as it will allow everyone to watch it once or twice during the day as for some of us who will be at Disney on the 12th, we wonder if there will be anything special going on. So make sure to tune in to Disney XD on August 12th to watch DuckTales re-imagined.
