The premiere of Disney Channel’s “Raven’s Home” on July 21st did extremely well with the 6-14 year old crowd by becoming the #1 live-action cable TV Series in the last two years. It also did extremely well only on YouTube and the Disney App. I will say that I was one of the people who actually watched it on YouTube as it was a long night with Descendants 2 being the lead in to the show. This is a great start, but we have to wonder how much pull Descendants had on the show being shown right before the first episode of “Raven’s Home.” We just loved seeing Sky Katz work with the rest of the cast members.
‘RAVEN’S HOME’ IS #1 CABLE TV SERIES LAUNCH IN TWO YEARS
AMONG TARGETED KID AND TWEEN DEMOGRAPHICSMaking a grand entrance, the premiere of Disney Channel’s “Raven’s Home” (July 21, 10:03 p.m. EDT/PDT) – headlined by Raven-Symoné reprising her Raven Baxter role from “That’s So Raven” – was the #1 live-action cable TV series premiere in two years among its targeted demographics — Kids 6-11 (1.3 million/5.3 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.5 million/6.1 rating) — and also Kids 2-11 (1.6 million/4.0 rating). It was also the #1 series premiere among all kid cable TV networks in Total Viewers (4.0 million) since “BUNK’D” (July 31, 2015). “Raven’s Home” also generated an additional 2.4 million full-episode views on YouTube and nearly one million views via the Disney Channel App and Disney Channel VOD.
In addition to Raven-Symoné, we have a bunch of other cast members that deserve congratulations. Anneliese van der Pol picks back up her role of Chelsea in the show, we also have Issac Ryan Brown as Booker, Jason Maybaum as Levi, Navia Robinson as Nia, and Sky Katz who plays Tess. We loved the first episode and we are super excited to see the upcoming season, we are also excited to see more of our favorite new star, Sky Katz.
