The Amazing Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie Trailer

It was only a matter of time before the ever popular “Captain Underpants” book series got a movie and it is going to be glorious. The book series was written by Dav Pilkey and the movie, titled CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS: THE FIRST EPIC MOVIE, boasts an all star cast including Kevin Hart, Ed Helms, Nick Kroll, Thomas Middleditch, Jordan Peele, Kristen Schaal among others. From the trailer they look to do an amazing job with the voice over work.

DreamWorks Animation and 20th Century Fox have released the first trailer for CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS: THE FIRST EPIC MOVIE! Based on the worldwide sensation and bestselling book series and starring Kevin Hart and Ed Helms CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS: THE FIRST EPIC MOVIE tells the story of George and Harold, who hypnotize their principal into thinking he’s a ridiculously enthusiastic, incredibly dimwitted superhero named Captain Underpants.

Check out the trailer below and make sure to get your tickets early as kids are going to be lined up to see this. Kevin Hart and Ed Helms lead off the trailer by debating if Captain Underpants is really a superhero. We get to see George and Harold hypnotize their principal and get some scenes of him doing some funny and crazy stuff while they try to save him from himself. They are going to need Captain Underpants though, as their new teacher is also an evil super villain with a monster toilet? If all goes well expect to see a few more of these movies in the near future.

DreamWorks Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie opens in theaters on June 2nd and is directed by David Soren. It is going to be a great movie to start off the kids summer with and after tripping over like a million Captain Underpants books in the house while the kids were reading them it should appeal to some of the teens as well for nostalgia sake.
