What a great idea, take a bunch of kids and train them to take out the professional gamers! We get to talk to both Geoff and Millie as they try to make that happen.
SCHOOLED is a new series where Geoff and Millie recruit and train a team of aspiring gamers between the ages of 8-12 to face off against the team at Achievement Hunter in a winner-take-all finale. In this case, “all” means that Geoff will get an image of Rooster Teeth star Gavin Free’s nose tattooed somewhere on his body should his team lose. Competitors will train at the Rooster Teeth bunker, take on fun challenges, meet Rooster Teeth personalities, participate in gaming sessions and learn from expert trainers! Competitors will be trained and compete on Ultimate Chicken Horse, a party platformer where you build the level as you play to ultimately beat out the other team but make the level easy enough for you to win.
Schooled is part of AT&T Hello Lab — a breakthrough program from AT&T that features 10 digital creators at the forefront of mobile entertainment and empowers them to engage more deeply with their audience.

Who came up with the idea for Schooled and tell us a bit about what the show will be about and obviously what the prize is for both teams should they win.
(G) Schooled was born from a desire to create more family friendly content for our Rooster Teeth Audience, and also out of a bet I had with Gavin Free. I once bet him that I could take a group of kids and train them to be better gamers than my employees. I didn’t expect him to, but he took me up on it, and the rest is history.
So tell us a little bit about your collaboration with AT&T Hello Lab and how that came to be.
It just so happened that I made that bet around the same time Hello Lab started talking with us about the possibility of a collaboration. We pitched them the idea, and they loved it.
Millie, tell us about any funny things that happened to your dad while filming.
(M) When we were shooting on the farm, I had a Nerf crossbow to shoot arrows at the kids. I went to shoot my dad with a dart arrow and hit his nose (amazing shot) but ended up cutting his nose and got it to bleed. I don’t think I can trust darts ever again.
How hard was it picking the team to go up against the Rooster Teeth professional gamers? What do you think was the favorite thing for the team at the Rooster Teeth bunker?

(G) There were hundreds of submissions of really great and endearing kids to chose from, so it was pretty hard to narrow them down to such a small group. There was a neighborhood cat that showed up on set every day, and the kids quickly adopted her as the production pet. Ultimate Chicken Horse was the perfect game for a competition like this, because it’s accessible to all ages, and is described as the ultimate mashup of HORSE and Chicken. Two games all kids and adults are familiar with. It also encourages creativity and thinking on your feet.
Millie, did you enjoy the experience and do you want to do other shows?
(M) I loved the experience of the show and I would love to do more shows like this. This is like acting in some way (although I have never done a movie or real tv show) and it ended being a lot of fun.
Millie what would you say is your favorite YouTube channel besides your fathers?
(M) I would say that my favorite youtube channels are gizzygazza and samgladiator. I love there role-plays and games that they play.
Out of all the competitors, who would you say you enjoyed the most (Millie and Geoff)? Millie and Geoff, what is your most anticipated game for 2017?
It would be impossible to pick. All of the kids were fantastic and uniquely awesome in their own ways. (G) I’m very much looking forward to a game called With Honor, that releases in early 2017.
Millie, do you think you watch more traditional TV or more shows online? Geoff where do you think television is moving to with all the original programming coming out?
(M) I think I watch more shows online like Youtube. (G) It is easy to access and you don’t have to pay lots of money. Youtube has almost everything!
Why should we all “tune in” to watch Schooled?
(G) I think it’s worth checking out not only to see if I have to get a giant nose tattooed somewhere on my body, but also to see if a group of ten year olds can actually get the better of a group of adult professional gamers.
