Moana has finally released its first full trailer which you can watch above and fall in love with the movie before it even comes out. It stars Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson and features music from Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Moana is the upcoming animated film from the studio that made Frozen and is likely to be your child’s next obsession (and for good reason this time!! Like the time everyone was obsessed with Finding Nemo.)
In the film, Johnson voices Maui, a demigod who’s fallen on some tough times so he must team up with Moana (Auli’i Cravalho), a girl with ocean powers and an important destiny.
Along side Cravalho and Johnson, the cast includes Temuera Morrison as Chief Tui, Moana’s overprotective father and chief of Motunui Island, Nicole Scherzinger as Sina, Moana’s mother, Rachel House as Gramma Tala, an old woman who has a close relationship with Moana and shares her passion for the ocean, Jemaine Clement as Tamatoa, a villainous 50-foot crab from Lalotai, the realm of monsters, Alan Tudyk as Hei Hei, Maui and Moana’s pet rooster (Tudyk will also voice two other characters), and Phillipa Soo as a villager of Motunui Islan
