I have been following Disney star Dove Cameron for a while now and she never ceases to amaze me. Let’s just say that she is definitely the gal to envy.
Dove is widely known for her role in Disney’s original movie The Descendants and also her starring role on Disney Channel’s Liv and Maddie where she plays as her own twin. Alongside her on the show is Ryan McCartan.
Not only is Ryan her co-star but also her adored boo. Although we don’t see what the two are up to when the cameras aren’t rolling, I can imagine that their relationship is just as sweet and perfect as it is when they are in front of the camera.
Just as they are the perfect couple, they are also the perfect business partners. The duo have been working together for quite some now both on and off the screen. When the two aren’t acting, they have shown their fans there’s more than just acting on their list of skills. They can sing too! And boy, they really sure can sing. During their spare time, the couple shares videos of covers they have done, sometimes while Ryan plays the guitar (another talent of his!). They even create their own music!
Their success down the music path has been so great that they even gave a name to their band – The Girl and the Dreamcatcher. Just recently, Dove and Ryan have shared the music video for their latest song “Glowing in the Dark.”
The Girl and the Dreamcatcher’s previous video “Written in the Stars” was released in October 2015 and reached over 4.3 million views on YouTube. I have no doubt that their new video will reach about the same if not more.
The new video shows off a new side to Dove that I haven’t seen before. One similarity I also noticed between the two videos is the style and the cinematography. In their first video, “Written in the Stars,” there are shots where Dove and Ryan are sitting next to each other and looking straight at the camera. The same types of shots are seen in the new video. Overall, the story being told in the music video is almost like that of a fairytale – just as Dove and Ryan’s relationship seem to be.
