Abby’s Flying Fairy School and Elmo the Musical will not show up on for the new Half-Hour Sesame Street sessions that begin in September. Now worries though, this will be in addition to the regular episodes that will be shown in the morning.
What this means is that you will be able to get a second showing of the great PBS show in a smaller timeframe (or for the kids that could just do without Elmo or Abby). For the parent that might not like their child watching so much television this will be a good way for them to get a taste of Sesame Street and who knows maybe PBS is testing the waters to see how a 30 minute version of the show would do if they decided to change the format.
Sesame Street has been relevant for so many years we still find it amazing how many kids grow up with this show and how they continue to produce such great characters. For the parents, the spoofs that they do also keep you watching even after you have children of your own, so check out the 30 minute version of Sesame Street and see what you think.
Half-hour Sesame Street debuts For the first time in 45 years, PBS will begin airing a shortened 30-minute version of Sesame Street (without “Abby’s Flying Fairy School” and “Elmo the Musical”) in the afternoons usually around 1-3pm weekdays.
