When it comes to what Sony Pictures decides that they would like to do with another Men In Black film, Will Smith has said he wouldn’t mind if his son, Jaden, took over the successful franchise. Smith, who has starred in the franchise’s 3 previous films, has said that he thinks he is done with the series. However, both he and Tommy Lee Jones said they would consider being involved in the next film tentatively known as Men In Black 4.
Will Smith told Collider in an interview about the franchise,
“I think three is enough for me. Three of anything is enough for me. We’ll look at it and we’ll consider it, but it feels like that it might be time to let someone else do that.”
Though nothing is in the works yet even though Smith is open to the idea of his son replacing him in the series.
“If they were interested in that – that’s not something that I’m pushing for, or I don’t even know if Jaden is interested, but we’re open.”
Smith has worked with his son, Jaden, professionally in previous films The Pursuit of Happyness and recently After Earth.
As of now, “Mortal Kombat” scribe Oren Uziel is already on board to work on the script.
How would you feel about Jaden Smith taking over the franchise for Will Smith? Do you think he would do a good job? Do you think Jaden Smith is a good enough actor to take over such an established franchise?
