Matthew Morrison Premieres New Music Video for “It Don’t Mean a Thing”

Matthew Morrison, most known for his role as Will Schuester on the Fox series, “Glee,” has released a brand new music video for the song, “It Don’t Mean a Thing.” The single comes from a forthcoming album entitled, Where it All Began, which is set to come out June 4th on Adam Levine’s 222 Records.

The video maintains the vintage feel of Duke Ellington’s jazz standard, a song originally debuted in 1943. Morrison showcases not only his vocal abilities, but also his graceful moves amidst a hoard of supporting dancers.

Featuring a collection of classic standards and Broadway hits, Morrison turned to legendary producer Phil Ramone (Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett), along with GRAMMY Award-winning producer Gregg Field, to create his new album.Where it All Began features such treasured classics as “Singin’ in the Rain,” “Lucky Be a Lady,” “West Side Story Medley,” and several others.

I love that Morrison is covering the classics. Hopefully his star power will be able to generate interest in these amazing older songs for a new audience. What do you think of his new single? Will you buy his new album?

You can watch the video for “It Don’t Mean a Thing,” from Matthew Morrison below or purchase the single of iTunes.
