Canyon Bakehouse Gluten Free Products

Gluten Free Products are always welcome at BSCkids to highlight and discuss for our readers (kids and parents) with celiac disease, or those that just want to go gluten-free. When Canyon Bakehouse offered up some bread for us to taste, we knew we were up to the challenge. The Canyon Bakehouse Cinnamon Raisin Bread and 7-Grain Bread were surprisingly delicious gluten-free Products without the density of other like breads. It is also important to let you know that the kids enjoyed them as well!

Finding tasty gluten-free bread is a challenge for most individuals with celiac disease. Most admit they miss the taste and texture of traditional bread. But that’s where Canyon Bakehouse comes in. Gluten free, taste perfected, Canyon’s Bakehouse’s mission is to create delicious, nutritious gluten-free products the whole family will enjoy — starting with one of its sweeter offerings, Canyon’s Cinnamon Raisin gluten-free bread.

We found the Cinnamon Raisin Bread to have a very nice aroma. It was light and flavorsome with enough plump raisin to keep everyone happy without overwhelming you with cinnamon. The kids were happy to eat it for breakfast and we found that is toasted quite nicely. Something that you can feel happy about having your kids eat to start off the morning. Kid friendly update also gave it high marks for when it was paired with either butter or peanut butter.

Loaded with healthy whole grains and touched with a hint of sweetness, Canyon’s 7-Grain gluten-free bread is a versatile option for individuals with celiac disease and gluten intolerance. A recent recipe contest on the company’s facebook page boasted a variety of recipes using the 7-Grain gluten-free bread with recipes ranging from traditional deli sandwiches to French toast.

The 7-Grain Bread had an excellent taste with a nice and light texture that far exceeds other similar products we have tasted. It was a full-bodied taste with a softness to the bread making it enjoyable fresh out of the bag or toasted. The texture of the 7-Grain bread was great as it was ground smooth with the exception of a slight added crunch from tiny grains on the crust which made the bread enjoyable, rather than large pieces of grains incorporated throughout.

There was an added sweetness to the flavor of the 7 grain, which was also a pleasant surprise. It paired itself quite nicely for a turkey sandwich, grilled cheese and at the same time was enjoyable with just butter as well. Canyon’s 7-Grain was one of our favorite breads of any type, regardless of your need for a gluten-free product, having a complex and distinct taste. There are so many other recipes and uses that we want to try with 7-Grain bread that we have our work cut out for us.

The whole family was super impressed with the Canyon Bakehouse Cinnamon Raisin as a nice breakfast product and the 7-Grain Bread that made its appearance at many different meals. The best qualities of the product were how light and soft they were as well as having a good quality flavor. With a frozen shelf life of 6 months from the date of manufacture, it is a product that you can keep stocked in your house for all of your gluten-free bread needs.
