iStoryTime, Biscuit’s Birthday Storybook Perfect for Young Readers

iStoryTime, in partnership with HarperCollins Children’s Books, recently released the new storybook app called Biscuit’s Birthday, which is the fifth addition to the Biscuit Series. The app is available for both Apple and Android devices. It is the perfect app for encouraging early readers with its interactive animations and sound effects on every page.

The Biscuit Series is a longtime family favorite with over 16 million copies in print and parents love inviting their children to Biscuit’s Birthday party to celebrate with him and his friends. Parents and children can enjoy reading together or young readers can explore on their own with the independent play.

Children can also enjoy the story activities such as the digital coloring book, memory game (iOS only) and puzzles that are perfect for tiny fingers. The completed coloring masterpieces can be shared with family and friends as well.

The app was developed in-house by iStoryTime and every page of Biscuit’s Birthday features narration, animation, sounds, and beautiful illustrations created by Pat Schories. It all works together to bring the story created by author Alyssa Satin Capucilli, to life.

Key benefits of the app for early readers include:
• Improve reading comprehension by selecting between two narration options: “Read to Me” or “Read to Myself”.
• Reinforce cause-and-effect with silly animations and humorous sounds throughout.
• Develop early reading skills with text that highlights as the narrator reads
• Enjoy a fun memory game, which encourages young readers to match pairs of characters.
• Promote creative thinking with the fantastic coloring book—the color-in-the-lines mode is perfect for little fingers, and the art can be shared with friends.
• Bonus: There are hidden balls on every page. See how excited Biscuit gets when they are collected.

The price of the app won’t kill you either. The Biscuit’s Birthday app is available for $2.99 from the App Store on the iPad, iPhone or iPod touch and on the Amazon App Store and NOOK App Store.

If you want to encourage your young ones to read, this new app will be a great addition to their learning process.
