Graffiti6 is definitely making a name for themselves when their debut album, Colours made a huge splash on the charts last week. The british newcomers started gaining interest with their first single release, “Free” captured the attention of many.
Their album landed at #13 on the Alternative Album Chart and the Digital Album Chart. The band followed up the release by stopping by Vh1’s Big Morning Buzz to celebrate. They also performed their hit single, “Free” which continues to climb the AAA radio charts.
The lead singer of Graffiti6 also took time to discuss the wide range of music that has influenced their music. He also talked about his feelings regarding the latest “beard hat” phenomenon. They also stopped by Livestream for a live acoustic session and chat.
There has been nothing but praise for the new album. Billboard said this:
“Graffiti6, the duo of singer/songwriter Jamie Scott and songwriter/producer Tommy “Tommy D” Danvers, makes the art of crafting pop gems seem like the easiest task in the world.”
People Magazine also said:
“Spray painting their debut album with ‘60s psychedelia, rave music, and falsetto-kissed soul (courtesy of dreamy lead singer Jamie Scott), this UK duo makes a vivid splash.”
And USA Today added to the buzz by saying this:
“Using acoustic guitar and electric piano as primary colors, they combine smoky falsetto-soul melodies and breakbeat rhythms.”
