Instabol – Spotlight

Instabol is a product we were introduced to at the NYIGF, and last week in the mail a sample showed up!  At NYIGF it was pitched to us in a variety of ways, from water bowl for your dog to snack holder for your kids.  You can use it for your toiletries or for your kids’ crayons–it has a variety of uses, which is what makes it the perfect thing to have around the house for parents.

It is one of those projects that has a million uses and is pretty self explanatory, but you wonder why it did not exist before.  Well, I am sure it did exist in some sort of design, but the Instabol is a nice quality product that is very easy to keep in your bag for when the need arises.  It is the ease of use and the ability to use a regular zip lock bag to make it work that push this product to a must have.  Go out and pick up a couple; you will be glad that you did.

Instabol, LLC has created and brought to market an instant bowl.  The simple and ingenious exoskeleton gives structure to a plastic zipper bag.  By opening and wrapping the top half of a Ziploc type bag over instabol’s circular frame consumers create a usable bowl on the go.

The first product in the line is for any quart sized zipper bag and can hold up to five cups of anything.  Potential uses include:

  • Food and water for dogs and cats
  • Snacks or crayons for children
  • Cereal or soup for hikers
  • Replacement for Tupperware when heading to a potluck or picnic
  • Gives carry-on toiletries structure when travelers reach their hotel

The reusable device will be a big time saver for families who more and more live on the go.  Inventor Kevin Fleming explains, “Instead of lugging big, cheap and dirty plastic containers that often get lost, folks can throw what they need and a sealable zipper bag. Clean up is all but eliminated as they chuck the plastic bag in the recycling and and fold their instabol up and put it in their back pocket until the next time.”
