  • ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas – Day 10
Interesting, I have never heard of Holiday in Handcuffs before.  I do not think that it is on the top of my list of need to see holiday specials though, maybe someone can tell me otherwise.  We know I love Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town and will watch again, and A Flintstone Christmas makes an ABC Family premiere and I always like anything Flintstone. (7:00-8:00...

  • ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas – Day 9
I figured I should start to include the 9 PM time frame as it gets closer to Christmas itself so you do not miss any of the shows that will be on.  The 9th day of ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas brings us Rudolph’s Shiny New Year, and who can forget Baby New Year, one of my favorite Rudolph characters.  Something about Eon, who is after Baby New Year...

  • ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas – Day 8
Day 8 has come and we get my favorite Disney holiday show on tonight, as Mickey’s Christmas Carol is being shown at 7 PM.  I am a huge Scrooge McDuck fan from the Duck Tales show, and he gives us something enjoyable in his portrayal of Ebenezer Scrooge.  Mickey and Minnie Mouse also do a good job with Mr. and Mrs Cratchit, and Jiminy Cricket will forever hold...

  • ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas – Day 7
ABC Family tonight probably has one of what I consider the most underrated holiday classics.  We can talk Frost, Rudolph but ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas embodies everything a holiday show should have.  Some great animation, lovable characters, and a real message that comes out and throws a snowball at you so you do not miss it.  Along with that favorite...

  • ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas – Day 6
Harry Potter Weekend continues and tonight we have Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, one of my favorite films of the series actually.  It is kind of nice to see all the films together at once in preparation for the new film that will be coming out.  I was having a discussion last night if reading the books make the movies more enjoyable or not, and if you have not...

  • ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas – Day 5
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban are on tonight and we are full into the ABC Family annual holiday marathon of Harry Potter. So I learn a bit after actually reading the press release that this is an annual thing with ABC Family, and it should be a long weekend after all the movies are complete.  While I still do not...

  • ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas – Day 4
Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone is not really a Christmas movie in my mind and with all the actual Christmas movies out there seems like an interesting choice on Day 4 of ABC’s 25 Days of Christmas. My only thought is that they are trying to setup a yearly Harry thing going on. Based on the popular first book of the series by J.K. Rowling, in the normal...

  • ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas – Day 3
Ah, back to a real holiday special tonight with The Polar Express.  Can you believe that I have never actually seen this movie?  Yeah, I can not either, so it looks like I need to catch it tonight.  What I do have is a glowing recommendation from my father, who is not a big television person and is usually very tight with his praise of movies.  He told me it is one...

  • ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas – Day 2
When I think of the 25 Days of Christmas, Pixar Short Films really does not jump to mind. ABC Family thinks otherwise and tonight we will be getting Pixar Short Films in both time slots. It is nice that this is the first time they will be shown on television so I guess that is a bit of a holiday gift to us. For the first time on television, Walt Disney Pictures presents...

  • ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas – Day 1
For the next 25 days I will talk a bit about what is being shown on ABC family, hopefully I will have seen the show in question and be able to talk about it a bit, but if not it will be a reminder for you to tune in each night to get a little taste of the holidays.  To make things a bit easier on myself I am going to only take a look at the shows starting at 7 p.m...
