Dove Cameron and Miss Piggy join the ranks of Spark Tank, which includes Mark Cuban, Shark Tank star where they will pitch ideas on how to help out their communities. They join Jimmy Kimmel and Katherine McNamara (who plays her character like Dove Cameron) in helping the Summer of Service campaign in collaboration with Youth Service America. Kids can apply for a grant through September 30th of this year and try to pitch their own idea to make a difference.
Miss Piggy pitches her “fashion forward” idea is for a clothing drive, where people can donate clothes. Miss Piggy talks about the clothes that she has worn and how she is looking to donate them even as Mark taunts her a bit for being extravagant. She then pitches the idea of a celebrity clothing drive, which would be a very interesting.
Next up is Dove Cameron, playing her character Mal, and she pitches the idea of building a park with a garden on the Isle of the Lost. She also mentions that there is no Wi-Fi on the Isle of the Lost, which is just crazy talk. She also mentions that all of her Descendants friends would help to create this park and garden, she just might need to use a little magic to make it happen. These gardens would help bring the community together.
Jimmy Kimmel also gets into the game with two ideas, the first one is inflatable pizza, but the real idea is raising money for a good cause by using comedy. Sell some tickets to put on a show and donate the money to a children’s hospital.
You can also find a great video where we see Clary Fairchild (Fray), the Shadowhunter daughter of Jocelyn Fray and the notorious Valentine Morgenstern who is played by Katherine Grace McNamara pitching as well. She told us about using a website to connect people who need help with people who want help at http://www.abcbeinspired.com/summer-of-service/ #SummerOfService. This would allow organizations to find people to help out.
This is all such a great idea and we were happy to see the celebrities pitch in to Spark Tank and make it a success. These are all ideas that we could use today to help make the world a better place.
