Throwback Thursday on Disney Channel

Last week, @DisneyChannelPR announced on twitter the addition of a “Throwback Thursday” block of programming, featuring episodes from some of Disney Channel’s classic original shows.

Every Wednesday at midnight until 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, the channel will air an older show.  Last week, “Even Stevens” was on the schedule, and this week it’s two back-to-back episodes of “Lizzie McGuire”! #ThrowbackThursday is from 12am-1am on Wednesday night/early Thursday morning every week on Disney Channel.  This certainly has many fans cheering as they have been asking for a chance to revisit their old shows back on the air.

On another front, Star Wars and Marvel characters could come to Disney Infinity. In a recent interview, Disney Interactive VP of product development Bill Roper explained that the studio is interested in possibly exploring every license available to them.  “I think the beauty of something like Infinity is that it’s a platform that we’re building,” Roper told Gamesindustry International.

Disney Infinity involves using real-life figures and scanning them in order to use the characters in-game. It’s due to arrive on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Wii, PC and 3DS on August 18th in North America and August 20th in Europe. So far, confirmed franchises include The Incredibles, Monsters Inc., Cars and Pirates of the Caribbean.  What do you think about this?

In the first paragraph, you mentioned Disney Channel shows.

In the next, you mentioned the video game, “Disney Infinity.”

What came to my mind? Why not add characters from live action Disney Channel shows INTO Disney Infinity? I’d definitely buy it just to make a fighting game in which I can send Wreck-It-Ralph to beat the crap out of Cece & Rocky!
