We may be months away from Girl Meets World, the sequel of Boy Meets World, but the show already has a following. Last week we told you about Rowan Blanchard winning the lead role of Riley Matthews. Now they have found her “Shawn”, aka: Maya Fox who will be played by Sabrina Carpenter. She will be Riley’s true friend who happens to be a tad kooky, single child with a single parent and is a good student. She was found by being cast for Disney XD’s Gulliver Quinn and directed to join this series, which is aimed for a 2013-2014 TV schedule. As for more news on the possible return of more former cast members, Michael Jacobs the executive producer has announced that they all are welcomed and all they have to do is let him know. Here is his new, official statement on the return of some of the previous stars.

Whoever wants to be part of this show will be and whoever wants to move on will. The most important thing is to see what the show is and then see what their part in it will be.

This should be music to Rider Strong’s ears, since he has stated that he was never contacted before by them. I personally would love to see most of them return, even just for guest spots every now and then. I was always a fan and I think it would actually be a strength for the series. It would make all of the original fans happy to see the return of even more faces, while also good for the new generation to see whom there own parents grew up watching and admiring. It seems like it would make for an interesting bonding time for some who did enjoy the classic 90s show.

How do you feel about this news? Should a lot of the stars return on the show? I do, and I think a lot of them want to return on the show as well. I mean, how many stars get a chance to relive their childhood gig? Not many and I do think that it would be very interesting for the fans all around as well as of the stars. Granted, I am not sure how many of the original stars will come back, but it is a fun thought to entertain by far, don’t you think?
