Charles Michael Davis Joins Vampire Diaries The Originals

As well await anxiously about the possible Vampire Diaries spin-off series, The Originals; we all get some news about it! Charles Michael Davis has landed a role on the potential series as Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) protégé, Marcel. The series will supposedly follow Klaus, Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Sophie (Daniella Pineda) and Haley (Phoebe Tonkin) on the rumored spin-off. They all will also currently air on the April 25th episode of The Vampire Diaries that will serve as a back door plot for The Originals. The episode will show Klaus returns to New Orleans, only to find Marcel in charge and Elijah must protect his troubled brother by siding with Marcel’s current enemies. As for if The Originals becomes picked up, that remains to be seen.

I am really hoping that they do launch a spin-off for Klaus. Yes, I will miss him and his much needed drama on The Vampire Diaries, but he does deserve his own series. He has so much history that he needs a real chance to allow fans explore his past. The only real, decent way for that to happen is by giving him his own series. Also, we all have been hearing rumors about this for years now, it seems like the time is nigh for that series to finally become a reality at last.

How do you feel about this news? Will Marcel bring a new level of evil to the show? I think it is likely if he really was the protégé Klaus thought he was. I am personally excited to see what he will bring to the table for the possible series that needed to be made a long time ago. Everyone loves the original family, thus they deserve the chance to shine on their own series. I mean, how can you not be a fan of Klaus and the rest of his bad family when they are funny and charming? It just makes it near impossible if you ask me.
