Griffin Technology has officially announced their new kid-friendly accessories created in partner with popular children’s brands Crayola and Nickelodeon. The new products, announced at this year’s 2013 CES include several new mobile accessories feature children’s favorite characters like Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer.

One of the items is the Crayola Light Marker  which brings allows children to draw in the air and watch as their artwork appears on their iPad.  The pen’s movement is detected and interpreted by the front facing camera on the iPad and transmitts the image to the screen. The Light Marker app includes multiple activities such as Dot to Dot, Paint Splatter, Coloring Pages, Puzzles, Hide ‘N Seek, and Free Draw. Crayola Light Marker will be available at select retailers this spring for $29.99 and the Light Marker app will be available for free from Apple’s App Store.

Also announced was the Crayola Digital Activity Center. The center includes a durable canvas material combined with a cushioned back is perfect for kids’ laps. The Digital Activity Center works with and without the iPad. When holding the iPad, the built-in screen cover shields the iPad, while leaving access to its headphone jack, front-facing camera and dock connector. Without the iPad, it becomes a functional lap desk with a hard coloring surface and dry-erase board.Complete with a built-in handle and storage pocket for crayons, markers, ColorStudio HD, and DigiTools.

The Crayola ColorStudio HD Barbie Edition and Hot Wheels Edition will keep any child entertained. The coloring books feature  amazing digital Crayola crayons, markers, animation, sound and music. Crayola ColorStudio HD Barbie Edition and Hot Wheels Edition will be available later this month for an introductory price of $2.99 at Apple’s App Store. Each are also compatible with the Crayola ColorStudio HD iMarker.

When it comes to their partnership with Nickelodeon, Griffin Technology has the accessories every child will want.  The first three lines of mobile device accessories set to be introduced at CES feature SpongeBob SquarePants,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dora the Explorer, with a variety of additional accessories slated for the future.

Spongebob Squarepants fans now have their own line of stylish mobile cases. The cases include a SpongeBob Folio iPad case ($49.99) with its nostalgic 8-bit style finish, decorated with popular Bikini Bottom characters. Inside, the folio frames the iPad and grips it securely. Faces for iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5G ($29.99) feature six interchangeable eyepieces and three interchangeable mouthpieces to create facial expressions and customize SpongeBob’s look. Skins for iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5G ($29.99) feature spongy silicone and fun faces. Also revealed is the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles accessories, including: a Shell for iPhone 5 and iPod touch ($29.99) made of a hard, durable exterior that protects against bumps, impacts and scratches; and a Folio for iPad ($49.99) designed to look like a turtle shell that flips open for access to the Multi-Touch display, and is equipped with microsuede lining and a loop to carry a stylus.

Dora The Explorer fans have something to enjoy as well with the release of the Dora the Explorer Skin for iPod touch ($29.99). Griffin’s Dora the Explorer skin is made of durable, soft silicone with easy access to camera and all ports, controls and connectors.

Griffin Technology also unveils their newest kid friendly headphone and mobile case line that is great for those children who love animals. The  iconic KaZoo line of iOS accessories debuted their new headphones, iPod touch cases, a charms lanyard kit and kid-friendly AUX cables themed after animals. They also debut a new Capper Stylus line of pencil-toppers which enable full functionality on capacitive touchscreens.

The headphone line are over-the-ear headphones have built-in volume-limiting circuitry that keeps sound pressure down to levels recommended as safe for young ears.
