Disney Announces MyMagic Bracelet For The Disney Parks

Disney has announced a new bracelet that they want visitors to wear to the Disney Parks in the future. The bracelets are called the MyMagic.

Disney Parks chairman Tom Staggs revealed the following about the bracelets: “Like most people who visit Walt Disney World Resort, my family and I have our ‘must-do’ attractions, and as the father of three boys, those attractions often end with the word ‘mountain.’ Now, rather than dashing as a group, or even splitting up to gather FastPasses, imagine booking guaranteed ride times for your favorite shows and attractions even before setting foot in the park.”  According to reports the bracelets would tell park visitors when their favorite rides have small lines, plus each bracelet would hold a credit card number so purchases within the park would become super simple.

The bracelets would also become a PhotoPass card and a FastPass card.  Not to mention if the bracelet can track the rides you go on and the purchases you make, it’s a great marketing tool for the Walt Disney Company.  The MyMagic bracelets are currently being tested at Walt Disney World.  Would you be interested to test one of the bracelets out?  What do you think about this?
