Carly Rae Jepsen’s Shake It Up Stills & Wins NJR Award

Carly Rae Jepsen’s year appears to shaping up to be as grand as 2012 did. Not only will she be appearing on the upcoming Shake It Up episode, “My Fair Librarian It Up” that will air on Feb 25th. But she also won the Best International Newcomer at the 2013 NJR Awards. She is currently working on her next music video (for “Tonight I’m Getting Over You”), as well as preparing for her guest episode to air next month. In the meantime, we will have to wait until her music video comes out and for her guest appearance on Shake It Up. For now, you can view the stills from the episode down below.

Wow, I am sure Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun must feel so proud of Carly! For someone who is still pretty new in the scene, she has already made a name for herself both as Justin’s protégé and on her own. That isn’t easy for any singer, let alone for a fairly fresh face. I am so happy for her, even though I am not a fan of her music. I do think it is nice to see her succeed in the industry at long last and find a spot outside of her native, Canada. It is a nice bonus for her since I am sure she always longed to be more than just a Canadian singer.

How do you like the news of her winning a new award? I think her core fans will be beyond thrilled for her. After all, they did help her win the award and I am sure they were part of the driving force for her to land a role on Shake It Up. So she does owe a lot to them, but I think in the long run, they are just happy to see her keep on working like she has been with proof like the stills below.
