Carly Rae Jepsen took to Twitter to make a huge announcement.  Just a day after attending the NRJ awards in Cannes, France, Jepsen told fans about plans to film her new music video for the song “Tonight I’m Getting Over You!”

She tweeted, ” Big News! I am in LA this weekend filming the music video for my new single… “Tonight I’m Getting Over You.”  As is often the case these days, music stars are quick to make announcements about new projects on social media to their fans.  Obviously, this is a busy schedule for Jepsen as she flies back to Los Angeles from Europe and the event in Cannes that she termed as “just magic.”  As she returns back to the states to film the video for “Tonight I’m Getting Over You!” her current hit song, “Call Me Maybe” continues its strong showing on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Now in its 48th week, the former No. 1 song still sits at No. 41.

Carly Rae Jepsen walked the red carpet at the 2013 NRJ Music Awards held at Palais des Festivals on Saturday night (January 26) in Cannes, France.  The 27-year-old singer wore a chocolate Izmaylova dress and Melinda Maria rings for the event before changing for her performances where she blended “Call Me Maybe” and “Tonight I’m Getting Over You” together.  Carly Rae tweeted, “Can’t believe it… I won Best International Newcomer!!! I am so so so honored. But my dear @cauetofficiel I forgot to thank YOU! #NMA2013″.  What do you think about this?
