One Direction Performs on SiriusXM’s “Artist Confidential” Series

Sirius XM Radio recently had worldwide superstar group, One Direction, perform an exclusive acoustic set for their SiriusXM’s “Artist Confidential” series. The series features important and timeless names in music sitting down for candid interviews, intimate conversations exclusively with SiriusXM studio audience members, and live performances. 

The special features all five members from One Direction as they answered questions about their music, their career, and the upcoming holidays.

SiriusXM Hits 1 was the first radio outlet in North America to play One Direction’s music.

One Direction is comprised of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson – were discovered by Simon Cowell on the U.K.’s The X Factor in 2010. The band quickly gained a following to become one of the competition’s all-time most popular acts, finishing in the final three and garnering a gigantic and loyal fanbase along the way. In March 2012, One Direction’s debut album, Up All Night, made U.S. history, as it was the first time a U.K. group’s debut album entered the U.S. Billboard 200 chart at No. 1. The band has sold over 13 million records worldwide. One Direction recently topped the charts with their sophomore album, Take Me Home, which includes the No. 1 single, “Live While We’re Young.”

SiriusXM’s “Artist Confidential” with One Direction took place on December 7th and will officially air on Tuesday, December 25th at 12:00 pm ET on SiriusXM Hits 1, channel 2. The special, which will be hosted by The Morning Mash Up, SiriusXM Hits 1’s morning show, will feature One Direction performing acoustic versions of songs from their new album Take Me Home as well as songs from their debut album Up All Night.
