One Direction & Hunger Games Nominated For 2013 People’s Choice

By on November 18, 2012

It is that time of the year again for 2013 People’s Choice Awards. Like for the past two years, we see that many of the fan favorites are included-as well as a few new ones! Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift are all up for more awards. But we also have a new batch of stars, TV shows, and bands (like One Direction) were nominated as well! It certainly is a long list and one with not much variety, but none of the less still fun to read. The actual award show is more than 1 month away from airing (January 9th), but voting has been opened up so fans can start selection their favorites out of the following categories down at the bottom of this article.

I have to say that I am surprised some of the previously popular movies, stars or musical acts are not included! Things like Twilight Saga would make sense to be listed for a nomination, but they weren’t included except for the fandom award. As for some of the new acts being nominated, I am glad to see The Wanted being included again. I sort of hope that they win this award this time since they I do feel like they really want to win one. Plus One Direction has already won some awards, so losing this one wouldn’t be the end of the world for them in their train of success.

Who do you hope wins? I want The Wanted and of course Hunger Games to win, but I am okay with most of the nominations as a whole. I think the biggest issue here is the fact that some talent was left off. I am not sure how they pick or chose these acts that are nominated, so I am not sure who is to blame. However, with that being said I suppose we should congratulate those who are up for awards and wish them all luck on winning!
