Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 Ticket Pre-Order Sets New Record
Summit Entertainment must feel proud of their work thanks to the record breaking pre-orders taken for Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawm Part 2. On the first day of the pre-orders, they have broken the record set by Breaking Dawn Part 1‘s pre-orders from last year. Deadline.com got the juicy details from their pre-orders that started on Monday (October 1st) and according to them, they have seen a 87% increase in profit. They reportedly ranked in $1.7 million, compared to the $626K the first half brought in. The final chapter of the popular saga opens nationwide on November 16th.
I am glad that they are already doing so well in terms of ticket sales. It seems to be a good way to end their mega hit franchise. It seems like everyone loves Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner enough to keep them coming back despite of the rumors about their personal lives and changes to the story. That is serious dedication from a fan base! However, I think it also shows you just how involved the fandom that it has become. These fans will do anything pretty much to see their favorite love story and to show their respect to the cast who they have followed for 4 years now. It was bound to have some dramatic records to set at this rate.
Are you happy that they are going out on a high note? I am, I think it will help to make good memories for the stars and team who worked on it all. While knowing the end is merely weeks away from nw, it is bittersweet to hear this news. I can only assume that the stars have to feel sad and thrilled to know that the pre-sale tickets have broken their previously set record in a huge way. This will certainly boost their future paychecks by far.
