Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 Cosmetics & Trading Card Set Announced

By on October 8, 2012

Summit Entertainment is cashing in one last time before Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 comes out on November 16th. Much like what Warner Bros. did right before the final Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows film came out, they have granted manufacturers to release special products that tie into the franchise. Two of those new items are the trading card boxset and a cosmetics line! Essence is releasing a limited edition line of cosmetics that will be based upon the names of the last book’s characters. A few examples of the colors include Renessme Red, Edward’s Love and Jacob’s Protection. The line will include glitter eyeliners, eyeshadow pigments, nail polish, shimmer powder, lipstick, blush, and lipgloss. The new line will come out in November with vary. As for the NECA Breaking Dawn Part 2 trading card boxset, it comes with 9-piece puzzle, 18 character cards, 1 checklist, 1 intro card, and 43 story cards for a total of 72 cards that collectors ands alike can collect. The boxset is out now and is priced around $44.00. Be warned, the boxset is selling our quickly through their limited stores.

It seems like this is a huge way to close out in a huge way. While I am not big on trading cards as a whole, it does sound interesting to see that they released a huge boxset. I sort of wish the puzzle was its own product though. I could see that making a cheaper and fun gift idea for some. However, I realize that NECA doesn’t make regular puzzles so that won’t be possible sadly for them. As for the cosmetics line, I am excited to see what the color pay off will be like. I am hoping that it will turn out true to what it appears to be.

How do you like these two new products? Should Summit Entertainment allow all of these items or should they be more picky about the related merchandise? I would think so, but since this is the last chance of making the most out of it. It seems like studios are finding new ways to make more big bucks and while that isn’t really wrong, I wish that they would dilute the market a lot less than they have for the past few years. It seems almost too much at this point and I do love the saga as much as everyone else who does. But less merchandise makes the current ones more worthy in my eyes.

Amazon should have them, as well as of sites like eBay. You can also try the official NECA website if all else fails.
