Taylor Swift Previews Red on GMA

By on October 4, 2012

Taylor Swift recently debuted a new song as a preview on Good Morning America called “Red”, which is the title track off her upcoming album. Taylor told the show and views in a intro that she wrote the song about memories that are hard to move past from thanks to emotions tied to them. They also shared a few of the lyrics from the song . You can watch the lovely clip to hear a sample of the song and to find out what she all had to say to about the song. This appears to be another song that she wrote about someone who clearly hurt her, but as usual she fails to say whom this song was written about. You can find the video down below, while here are a sample of the lyrics.

Losing him was blue like I’d never known
Missing him was dark grey, all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met
But loving him was red

Talk about some powerful and strong lyrics. I have no doubt that the full song will be as amazing as all her other songs. I will admit that at this rate I am starting to think she will have a theme on this album, which is not a bad thing per se. But it also seems sort of unlike her since she usually also sings about happy topics and love as a whole. So it does seem a tiny bit outside of the norm for her, but I am still excited to see what the whole album will actually be like.

How do you like the clip? Have any ideas on what this song or any of her new ones are about? I have no idea and I think that is a sign of her amazing song writing skills. While it does make everyone else annoyed by the fact that she won’t share whom the songs are about, she certainly has proven herself as a master songwriter by far. I am hoping within time she will share who these songs are about, but in the meantime we should have fun trying to guess.
