One Direction & Justin Bieber Nominated For American Music Awards

Award season is almost upon us and that means The American Music Awards is right around the corner for us. So that means nomination time and we see another great repeat in the list of nominees this year. Taylor Swift is up for one award, while One Direction and Justin Bieber are both up for more than one award each! However, One Direction will have to battle it out with their rivals who lost out of nominations at the last award show, The Wanted, for Best New Artists Award. Beyond that, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj brought home the most nominations for this year’s show, which is strange for both Justin and 1D. The full list of nominees can be found down below this article, while the actual award show will air on ABC November 18th.

I am surprised that One Direction and Justin both are not up for more awards. They seem like shoe-ins to say at the least and that was not the case. I am not sure why, but I do think in a way they were robbed of a few nominations this year. However, the good news is that The Wanted has a good shot at winning and I am hoping that they do. If anyone is the real underdog this year, it would be The Wanted. They were so upset over not being nominated for the award last time, so I hope they win to prove that they are just as talented as their competitors out there.

How do you like the list of nominees? They are okay, I am glad that The Wanted was included-but I am not sure what else can we do to make sure they stand out for winning? It seems like they are often overlooked and it breaks my heart for them since you know they work hard. But they do not seem to be seen for that sadly. Beyond that, I don’t really have issue with the nominees since they are always pretty standard it seems anymore and I don’t expect much of a change in the nominations list anymore
