Miley Cyrus Releases Look What They’ve Done To My Song, Ma

While we all wait for Miley Cyrus to release a new album, she has been releasing cover songs that she did in what she calls “Backyard Sessions“. This time she released a cover of “Look What They’ve Done To My Song, Ma”, originally by Melanie Safka. Like the rest of her sessions from the summer, it was an acoustic cover of the song. No word on what made Miley pick this song, but it appears that she once again had fun in the session and was able to show us a glimpse of a grown up Miley’s new music. You can catch the music video of sorts down below if you wish to hear her version of the song.

I am not sure what to think of these covers. So far, Miley Cyrus hasn’t released any that I am really familiar with and that is a shame. I am hoping soon enough she will release one of a song that I do know and can better sat if she does a good job or not. However, it is nice that she is doing retro songs and giving her fans a chance to hear songs that they might otherwise never listen or give it a chance. So props to her for trying to expand her own and her fan’s music taste.

Do you approve of her cover? I cannot say since I do not really know the original, but is nice that she went outside of the box with it. Hopefully she can help her fans discover some new songs that they might otherwise not know of and see that she has an open mind when it comes to music. That would be the best outcome to come out from these videos while we all wait for new music to be finally released by Miley at long last.

You say you aren’t familiar with the cover, but you must realize you can find the original version on YouTube in less time then it takes to write even half of this article, right?
    In fact, here it is.
And it only took me 10 seconds!
