Meet The Vamps – UK’s New Upcoming Boy Band
Following the growing trend of boy bands, the UK has a new rising boy band called The Vamps. The trio caught the attention of fans by posting their cover of One Direction’s “Live While We’re Young” on YouTube, which you will find down below. The trio features Bradley Will Simpson (16, guitars and lead vocals), Tristan Evans (17, drums and vocals) and James McVey (18, vocals and guitar). Thanks to their popular cover from the hit boy band and their popular song, they have reached over 300,000 views on that video within one week! Not bad for a new act and while it is sort of like what Austin Mahone did, it does work and that is all that matters to them.
I like the fact that they do play their own instruments. It adds a level of uniqueness that not many boy bands bring and I could see that being a selling point to help get them signed. It sort of makes them more like Jonas Brothers than rest of the current boy bands and I am sure that could work to their benefit. At least at first until they sort of form their own identity outside of whom they are like in the music world.
How do you like them? Could they make it and last beyond one single? I would like to think that they could, but the business side might not think that they could. Granted, the only way to tell is to see what will happen. I am hoping that someone does sign then since I do think that they deserve to be signed. But I am not sure if that is in store for them yet. In the mean time, we can hope for the best and to show our support by viewing their videos as they release them.
