Demi Lovato: Don’t Believe Relationship Rumors

By on October 17, 2012

Demi Lovato is fed up with the rumors and rightfully so! She actually has confirmed yet again that she is single and is planning on staying single for a good while. She finds herself defending her friendship with Niall Horan (of One Direction) once more after the false report made by one magazine where she “confirmed” that they were dating. That was a false report and of course, Demi had to come out and tell fans that she is happy being single. In fact, she doesn’t want to change anything right now because she is so happy with where she is in her life. Demi is currently serving as a talent judge on The X-Factor and has a new album to work on, hence why she is partly focusing on her own healing process right now. Here is her full quote that she shared with Teen Vogue on being single and not dating Niall.

He’s a really awesome, sweet guy. But he’s not my boyfriend…. I’m in a place right now where I really need to focus on myself. Obviously, I’m still going to like people—or love them—but I need to not be in a relationship for a while because I need to be okay with being alone, first. I’m really happy right now. I never thought it was possible to be happy because of how depressed I was my entire life. But I feel so incredible. It’s like I’m living in a dream.

Well, I hope this new interview puts those rumors to rest for a while. Demi Lovato is clearly sick of the rumors and she has more than enough reasons to feel that way. She doesn’t need to jump into anything that she isn’t ready for and it s mature of her to choose to be single right now. She realizes that she needs to focus on herself for her own sake, which is a good sign that she really wants to stay living in a healthy way from now on only.

How do you feel about this interview? Should Demi’s team pull a One Direction for certain questions to be avoided if possible? I think like ones of her romantic life should be left out from now on. I think that is only fair since her career is about her talents and herself, not whom she could or would date. We already know how having public romances have hurt her and to end the chance to question her about them, it might just give Demi a much needed break.

A girl shouldn’t be friends with a guy who has a crush on her. That’s called being a tease, and it’s not fair to him.
