The Wanted: We Have No Hard Feelings For One Direction

By on September 19, 2012

The Wanted might have some success and even Scooter Braun on their side, but the boys still know the facts between the bands. Recently admitted that they do lose all of the time to their biggest competitors, One Direction. While some might think they have bad blood for their fellow UK based band, they say they do not. In fact, they have said they both are talented before and they do not feel upset over losing awards to One Direction. They shared that they are pleased with where they are and they would not trade it at all. You can hear these amazing guys and their even more amazing attitudes in regards of competition down below.

I am so proud of these guys! Not only do they have the right thought, but they seem to make it more about the music and I respect that. Not every single great talent has the chance to have mind boggling fame, so they seem to know that this doesn’t reflect on their talent. In fact, it is more like the whole Backstreet Boys vs N’Sync. BSB never had as much fame as N’Sync did (even though they did have fame and success, just not as hyped as N’Sync). However, look at who is still around? That speaks volumes and I love that The Wanted is enjoying what they have.

Does The Wanted have the right idea? I would say so and I hope One Direction also feels the same way if the favor shifts. They shouldn’t begrudge anyone who has found success and their genre has more than enough room for both acts. One Direction just so happens to appeal to more with their tween friendly pop, while The Wanted might be more on a the serious side of the genre. So I don’t believe either act is a threat to the other, even though the world loves to compare the two bands.
