Taylor Swift Shares Lyrics for New Single – Begin Again

By on September 25, 2012

Taylor Swift is working hard to support her upcoming album Red and has been slowly releasing new songs off it. That brings us to her releasing a new song called “Begin Again”, which is about getting back into the dating game after dealing with a bad breakup. She will be releasing the song for download on the 25th of September (which kicks off a trend of releasing a new song until the album’s release on October 22). So in order to drum up some interest for it she sang a tiny bit of the song on Good Morning America, which you can find down below at the bottom of this post. As for a sample of the lyrics, here are a few lines.

I think it’s strange that you think I’m funny ’cause he never did
I’ve been spending the last eight months thinking all love ever does is break, burn and end
But on a Wednesday in a cafe, we watched it begin again

It sounds like she put a lot of thought lyrically speaking into this song. I wonder who was behind this one? Maybe her current boyfriend? That seems like a good guess since I am not sure of whom she dated before him. So it seems to make sense and goes lyrically when you see that she points out that they are starting their relationship. However, I assume it could really be about anyone knowing that she isn’t one to admit who she sings about.

How do you like the lyrics and sample of the song? Will it do Taylor more damage than good? I doubt it since we all know that her whole career has been made on songs about relationships. So this song shouldn’t cause an upset at all among her fans. One thing that i do wish though was her doing the typical music release. I am really not a fan of releasing every song off an album leading up to the release. It sort makes the actual album release pointless anymore, if you ask me.
