Skytop Lodge Presents The 9th Annual Harvest Lake Stroll

On October 14th, the infamous Skytop Lodge will be presenting its 9th Annual Harvest Lake Stroll. The lodge sits at the base of West Mountain, nestled in the Pocono Mountains. It is only about two hours away from New York City and Philadelphia. 

For the Annual Harvest Lake Stroll, The Skytop Lodge celebrates the gorgeous foliage and crisp autumn air as guests take in the sights, smells and tastes that make the harvest season so spectacular.There will also bee food tastings prepared by the Skytop culinary team as well as some of the area’s local restaurants including wine samplings from some of the country’s top vineyards set all around Skytop’s pristine lake.

You best believe that the Annual Harvest Lake Stroll will also include all your favorite autumn items. Skytop’s Executive Chef Steve Sundberg is working with local chefs to create a wide assortment of gourmet food tastings, including seasonal flavors like butternut squash soup, warm apple cider and roasted eggplant to roasted wild salmon, rainbow trout and crab cakes to venison, charcuterie, and Oktoberfest favorites like bratwurst, sauerkraut and hot dogs. Of course, dessert stations will include harvest flavors of pumpkin and apple.

Food tastings will be paired with fine wines from vineyards such as Bogel, Frog’s Leap, DeLoach, Rodney Strong, Ferrari-Carano, Duck Horn and Truchard Vineyards as well as several more.

Any families visiting during this time will also have the choice to dance with internationally  renowned Blue Grass band, Hickory Project. Children’s activities include face painting and a petting zoo – complete with a llama and donkey – as well as pony rides, provided by Vanderbeek Farm. Kids can also visit an interactive Nature Booth that is hosted by Skytop naturalists. The Adventure Center and Treetop Adventure Zip-line Course will be open as well.

The highly anticipated event is open to the public beginning at noon and closes at 4 pm. Adult tickets are $60 in advance and $65 the day of the event, children ages 12 and under are just $20. Guests enjoy a discounted nightly rate of $299 overnight for two people, which includes tickets to the Harvest Lake Stroll, accommodations and breakfast.
