Selena Gomez Returns To Recording Studio

Selena Gomez has officially entered the studio again! This news comes out despite that she reportedly was taking the year off from music. She recently went on to Facebook and confirmed that she has heading back to the studio to work on her next album, which she hinted at earlier this year. She has shared that it will be more personal than her previous ones were. While not much info has been shared on her next album, we do know that she stated that it will be more about her own life experiences than her previous albums. Beyond it being more personal and possibly having featuring a song or 2 written by Justin Bieber, not much is known about it. No name or possible release date has been unveiled yet. I am glad that she is excited to release more music for her fans. It seems like she knows her success was in part hugely done by her fans. My only real question here is about what her new album will be like. We know that her last one did well with dance type of songs and I would assume Hollywood Records would want more of that. We saw her album and singles do well in the pop charts outside of Radio Disney for the first time last year, which I am sure was the goal for Selena Gomez. But what can she do now to change it up and keep fans interested, that will be a tough one for them to solve.

How do you feel about this news? Should Selena return or stick to acting only? I think she clearly loves both and does them well enough to keep being on this path of dual careers. I would hate to see her end acting or singing while she loves them both. I love her music and she has proven herself as someone does well in today’s adult music market, so I see no reason for her to stay away after the fact her last album did so well. So yes, I am excited and also glad that she chose to return for now to music. But I can also say that we miss her acting and I do think acting gives her more room to live. I personally think she should toy around with both until she finds the right one for herself.
