Selena Gomez On Joining Hotel Transylvania

Selena Gomez recently attended the premiere of Hotel Transylvania. She talked to the media for a short time on the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival. She talked about the movie and why she joined it, which she has been working hard to promote and boost the potential viewers of it. It is stated to open on September 28th here in the US. Selena plays Mavis, the daughter of Dracula who is voiced by Adam Sandler. The movie will be about Mavis helping to save a human (whom are banned from staying at the hotel) who snuck in and is staying at Dracula’s secret hide out for monsters.

I am glad that this movie is getting close to be released. I have been so excited for it and I still am! It seems like one of those fun and innocent Halloween movies that families will be able to watch without having to worry about the content in it. That is something that I would think most would have issues with and to know that this animated movie is marketed to kids should be a breathe of fresh air. It is sad that we do not see very many family friendly Halloween films, which I am hoping this year changes with the recent batch of them coming out.

How do you like the concept of Hotel Transylvania? Are you glad Selena agreed to be in it, despite of her wish to leave kid’s movies behind? I do, in fact I think it has made her earn more of my respect. It means a lot that she wanted to do something more for her young fans, despite of her efforts to move on from those kinds of roles. However, she does have the much talked about Spring Breakers coming out and certainly seemed eager to give something back to her younger fans to watch before her rumored big break this upcoming spring.
