Selena Gomez: I Wanted A Unique Voice for Mavis

By on September 26, 2012

Selena Gomez’s Hotel Transylvania is set to open nationwide this Friday (Sept 28) and that means the last hoorah to bring in the viewers to the movie. So Selena is doing her last rounds of interviews and talked to MTV about how it was to work on the movie. She admits that she tried to create a special voice for her sassy character, Mavis. She dishes on how she tried her best, which you can tell that she did by watching the trailers for the movie. You can find out what she had to say about her voice as Mavis and what it was like to work on the movie in the video down below.

I am glad that Selena Gomez was part of this movie because I do think the role likely fit her. She seemed to have fun working on it and has done a lot to show her support of it. Plus she got to work with some amazing people on this movie, that she would have not been able to do otherwise. Hopefully she feels extremely lucky to be able to work on it. I am sure her fans will love her through out the movie and she might even earn respect from some who were not a fan of hers previously before.

How do you like her interview? Could you tell her voice was different in the trailer? I could, even though you could still tell is was Selena. I sort of like how she wanted Mavis to be her own person and not use the voice that we all know as her former WoWP one. That shows she wants to be able to do different kinds of work and provide each one its own persona. Hopefully we can expect to see even more of a wider range from her in terms of acting as time goes on.
