Pretty Little Liars Kicks Off Webseries During Mid-Season Break

ABC Family has seen major success with Pretty Little Liars and of course they want to expand on that success.  So during the the scheduled late summer and early fall break to launch a web series called Pretty Dirty Secrets.

The web series will air 8 new episodes on ABCFamily.com every Tuesday 5 PM PT/8 PM ET starting August 28th.  The webseries will focus on the time between the Aug. 28th summer finale and the special Halloween episode of “Pretty Little Liars” airing in October, when the town of Rosewood is getting ready for Halloween. The local Halloween store in Rosewood is a busy place these days and a good spot for someone who wants to keep tabs on certain people. But as the usual suspects come in and out of the store, will they find more than just the ultimate Halloween costume? ” Pretty Dirty Secrets” will also introduce a new face in Rosewood, Shana (Aerial Miranda), who is the Halloween store clerk. The character of Shana will later be seen in the “Pretty Little Liars” series airing in early 2013.

It sounds like it will provide the fans of the show with some juicy drama to keep them content. I wonder if this will kick off a regular web series once the show returns before another mid-season break?  How do you feel about this news?  Will you be checking in on the web series?
