One Direction Breaks Justin Bieber’s Music Video Record

By on September 30, 2012

Poor Justin Bieber, it appears that we have proof that One Direction is taking over Justin’s top spot. Their new music video for “Live While We’re Young” has debuted and it has broken Justin’s previous set with “Boyfriend”. One Direction’s new single holds the most views for a YouTube video set within 24 hour time period. It received over 8.2 million views within the first 24 hours after its release. Their boss Simon Cowell was delighted by this news and tweeted his joy to his followers on Twitter all about it. Here is what he told his followers about his new, favorite boy band’s successful single and upcoming album.

I heard most of the new one direction album today. It really is a fantastic album. I can’t wait for you guys to hear it.

It sounds like they have a lot of support from Simon again, which is likely a good sign. I just wish that Justin didn’t have to have his records broken so soon after setting it. It doesn’t seem fair to him to say at the least, but it is great news for One Direction none of less. It seems like they very well could break even more records before Take Me Home is ever released at this rate right now. They seem well set for major success to the point that Justin might lose more of his star power thanks to them.

How do you feel about this news? I feel bad for Justin, but at the same time I feel proud of these guys. They worked hard to reach where they have and to do iit all n such a short matter of time is a huge deal. They should feel blessed to be able to do all of this and find success world wide. That is something hard to do for anyone and for them to conquer that with their debut album, let alone for an act that had their start on TV. So they have proven themselves as record breakers from the start, but it is nice to know that Simon is proud of these guys.
