Leighton Meester Rekindles Romance with Ed Westwick – Gossip Girl Preview

CW has released a preview of the first episode of Gossip Girl‘s final season, called “OMSG”. It promises us an action packed, short season that will be their best yet. It gives us a taste of Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester’s relationship that will hopefully last as a whole. However, it appears that poor Dan (played by the lovely Penn Badgley) will have more than his fair share of slaps, including by Blair and Blake Lively’s character Serena! The season will consist of 10 episodes and will star on October 10th. You can watch the first preview of the premiere episode of the season down below, if you are curious as to what we can expect.

I am so excited that they are returning, but I feel like it is ending too soon and we are getting a short end of the stick. Only 10 episodes is a pity and I am not sure if it will give each of the characters the closure that they need. It could be because I am biased and love the show, so I hate to see it ending. But to know that they are only given 10 episodes is kind of surprising for a show that ranked so well in the ratings for the network, I would think that they would do more for its last season. However, that is more of productions fault and not the network.

How do you feel about the preview? Will Ed Westwick wind up being right and Blair will end up with Chuck? I hope so, everybody knows that is best for them as a whole. They are meant to be and with their mean streak it seems like they can understand each other the best. However, the shows writers seem to love to toy around with the idea and pair them off with others. As for Serena and Nate (Chace Crawford), I am not sure where I want to see her go in their lives Hopefully Dan will find happiness in the end. Always great to see Leighton Meester in the preview.
