Demi Lovato to Perform on X Factor

In a recent interview Simon Cowell opened up about the X Factor, the judges and more.  Simon even noted that judge Demi Lovato will be a performer for some of the X Factor live shows.

Of course, Simon Cowell has never been short on words and there is a lot on the line for the second season as the first season brought in underwhelming numbers and did not perform as well as he proclaimed it would.  With a shake up of judges for the second season with Demi Lovato and Britney Spears there is certainly going to be something new brought to show and with all the news about fights and spats.  Simon Cowell is furious at NBC for trying to sandbag next week’s premiere of “X Factor” by adding a Wednesday installment of “The Voice” … declaring, “This is a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business.”  Cowell is promising that the new X Factor will be different from anything anyone’s seen before in a competition show.  He cleaned house last year at the end of a season that fell short of the 20-million-plus ratings he predicted: replacing judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger with Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, and firing host Steve Jones.

Cowell said Thursday he has not yet picked a new host. He’s aiming to have two, a male and female, and said he has screen-tested “a load of people” and plans to decide within the next week.  There is also news that Demi Lovato will be performing on some shows of the X Factor, although, no word yet on when or how many performances she will have or whether Britney will be performing as well.  Are you excited for the new season of the X Factor?
