Demi Lovato: I Had Body Image Issues At Age 3
Demi Lovato was on the September 24th episode of Katie Couric’s show, Katie where she talked about eating disorders. She was brought in to talk about it on the episode that was strictly about body issues and eating disorders. Demi talked about her body image issues and on how young she was when she starting having her issues. She shares that she started thinking badly about her body at the tender age of 3, but she also talks about how she lost control to the point where she sought help for her issues. You can watch both clips of her comments on both items down below.
I am glad that she got the help and seems to be in a better place, but I do sort of feel bad for her having to always rehash over her issues. I think until she is ready to unveil more info at her own pace. You can only learn so much from these same questions and you can tell that some of those questions bring up pain again, so I don’t think we are being fair to Demi. However, I do admire her for sticking with it and still talking about it almost two years after the fact. She seems to really seems to be dedicated to the cause since she is still plowing through it.
How do you feel about this interview? Are they over doing it and maybe asking her too much to talk about the painful past? I think so and while she should talk about it, I think her interviews should focus on other things as well. But that is just my own personal opinion on it. At least we know that soon enough she should be having a lot more happier topics to talk about soon enough with her next album starting production very soon. So hopefully next time she makes rounds of interviews, it will be about her new music.
