Carly Rae Jepsen in 90210 Season Premiere

Justin Bieber’s protege Carly Rae Jepsen is set to guest star as herself on CW’s 90210 on their season premiere. She will be singing on the show and showing off her acting skills at last, of course by that I mean her acting skills outside of her own music. On top of that, AnnaLynne McCord’s character Naomi might find herself married and in a car wreck?! Talk about a huge way to kick off the 5th season-and that is just the beggining of the new season! You can see the first preview of it down below. The season kicks off on October 8th, if you want to mark your calendar to know when you can Carly on the show.

I am glad that Carly Rae Jepsen had a chance to go on the show. It will be a great way to promote her album Kiss and to also show off her acting skills. I could see her becoming a fixture with most big shows if this episode goes over well. However, I do think the show 90210 does deserve to be watched just based on their stories. They certainly have kept some interesting story lines and Naomi seems to always be in search of love, which never seems to work out yet. So I do feel like this show should get more credit than they do right now.

How do you feel about this preview? Will Carly give them a boost or will the show give her a boost? I expect a little bit of both, but I don’t think that is an uncommon reaction. It seems like a healthy thing to happen for both, but I do think that CW will see this episode having bloated ratings that won’t follow rest of the season. Not exactly a way that I would think most would want to start off a new season, but that seems to be how it will kick off for 90210
