Carly Rae Jepsen: I Do Not Own A TV

By on September 19, 2012

Carly Rae Jepsen recently caught up with The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about her new single “This Kiss”, Justin Bieber and the fact that she has no TV! Yes, you read that correct. Carly shared to Ellen that she has no TV in her home at all, which would surprise most since most people her age used TVs their whole lives. She also touches on the topic of her album and “Call Me Maybe” mash-ups. However, Ellen seems to be more interested in the fact that she has no TV and says someone should give Carly one-despite Carly could easily aford one right now if she wanted one. You will find the full interview down below, if you wish to know what they all had to say.

I cannot believe that people find it so hard that she has no TV. I personally do not see the big deal here because, it isn’t like she couldn’t afford one and I couldn’t blame her if she wants time away from the media. Especially since she now has to hear and deal with rumors about herself, I could see the appeal for her to stay unplugged. Nobody wants to hear bad things about themselves and she won’t be able to hide from all of them, but at least she can avoid hearing them on TV.

How do you feel about this interview? Are you surprised by Carly’s choice or not? Sort of, but I am not since I think it could help her more than not. She will have less of hate and rumors about herself, which in turn will make her be less stressed hopefully. However, it might make some people find her strange even though you know she must be saving time and time is money. Thus, we can say she is extremely smart since she knows how to spend her time wisely and be productive.
