Bridgit Mendler Performs Ready or Not

By on September 28, 2012

Bridgit Mendler recently signed an agreement with VEVO and released her first video under their new deal. She sang her chart climbing single “Ready or Not” for their VEVO Lift segment. “Ready or Not” is her lead single to Hello My Name Is, which will come out on October 22. So far Bridgit has been working hard to promote her budding music career and of course her hit series, where she met her recently confirmed boyfriend! As for her album, we still sadly do not know much about it yet, but you can watch the video of her performance down below if you wish to see her lively performance of the song.

I am glad that Bridgit has found moderate success so far with her music and that it is still growing. I hope that she will be able to join the ranks of her former Disney stars who have found success in mainstream music. Now I know Bridgit’s music isn’t mainstream, I do think she has plenty of room to find success in the top 40 market if they work with a good PR team for it. I think she would be happy for that to happen, but for whatever reason for far Hollywood has been slow to offer enough support to any new singer.

How do you like this video? Should Bridgit try to fight for a spot in the mainstream music world right now or trust her label? I think she should fight for a spot, but with her already full plate of work she may not feel like it. Either way, I do feel like she should be proud of where it is and the fact that it is still moving. It appears to have a lot of left in it, so it could surprise us all and do even better than it has so far for Bridgit’s debut album. So here is to hoping that she finds more success with it!
