Blake Lively Gucci Premiere Fragrance Advert Debut

By on September 5, 2012

With Gossip Girl coming to an end, Blake Lively has been seeking out new career paths and one of them appears to be a spokesperson! She recently agreed to be the face of Gucci earlier this year and they just released their first campaign advertisement that features Blake in it. Thanks to her high profiled role on the show, she has become a fashion staple for a good while now. So it makes sense that Gucci would want someone like her as their new face. In the new campaign is for their fragrance, Gucci Premiere -which they based on gowns they shown at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival. It is supposed to have notes of leather, woods, musk, white flowers, bergamot and orange blossom. The print on the ad is the following-

Gucci Première celebrates the star in every woman. Whether she is holding court at a film opening or business meeting, all her moments are golden. She turns as many heads in an impeccably tailored suit as a couture gown. Grace sits with attitude, beauty with power. She enjoys her achievements and wears her authority with ease. Wherever she finds herself, she is met with admiratione. She is a modern icon

I am glad that Blake Lively had the chance to be their face for the fragrance. I think she modeled the look very well and I cannot wait to see what she will do next for Gucci. They really do seem like a good duo in terms of what they want to market and what she can offer. It is a bit of surprise if you ask me, but I am glad she is proving me wrong. It will almost be like a tiny piece of her character Serena will always live now thanks to the fact her character does similar gigs. It will make all of us Gossip Girl fans happy in more than one way.

Do you think Blake did a good job for their look of they were going for? I do, but you already know I just see it as another way for her role to live. However, I do think they made Blake look like the old glamour kind of star and I love that. She looks very polished and posed, which is a good thing for her if she wishes to be a leading lady like she appears to be aiming for those kinds of roles. So that will work in her favor, since those roles are mostly based on glamour anyhow.
