Bitsy’s Brainfood Lemon Broccoli and Sweet Potato Oatmeal Raisin Alphabet Smart Snacks

We all want our children to eat good food, but sometimes healthy food does not always taste the best and it can be a struggle for the parent to get these foods into your kids. Well Bitsy’s Brainfood comes to the rescue with their Alphabet Smart Snacks.

The Lemon Broccoli have a very nice lemon flavor and I have to say I really like the texture of the cookie it has a bit more crunch than I originally thought it would have. Reminded me of a lemon drop cookie. Overall, though, between the kids and my wife (I am still partial to the Lemon Broccoli) they said their favorite was the Sweet Potato Oatmeal Raisin cookies. My two-year old daughter loved playing with the letters and the boys just enjoyed eating cookies. They did not think anything different of them because of the integrated vegetables and liked the flavors. As a parent I liked the fact that they had organic ingredients including wheat flour and your Omega-3.

Overall we felt the cookies had a good taste (only tried the two flavors), we liked the alphabet shapes (especially my daughter), and felt they are a healthy “cookie” snack for the kids. You are also teaching your children that vegetables can be tasty. Even if this is by putting them in a cookie, it gets them out of the habit of seeing the word broccoli on a box and saying “bleh” So thank you Bitsy’s Brainfood for that. The boxes of cookies also contain a sticker for the kids and they have branded them with different characters Bitsy, Buck and Baxter.
